My older brother Pete was born to Helen & Alan Broad on 13th June 1955 @ 10.00pm, he was their second child, and had the full name of Hans-Peter (our Mum is Austrian)the first born child was our sister called Sigrid (siggy for short). Then followed good old me..Karen and a younger brother Michael. As siblings we were very very close, fighting each others battles, and even having 'wars' with each other - boys against girls. Bedtime routine was always in age order. We thought we were great as we had two sets of bunk beds, one in the boys room and one in the girls room. Pete had a facination for anything mechanical, would take anything and everything to bits and rebuild it - when possible would always add an extra bit of power !!!! Mum used to love to dress him in traditional Austrian leather trousers, they were the only thing he couldn't wear out!
